Introducing The Sound That Stays, a music festival rooted in the celebration and remembrance of loved ones lost too soon, raising funds for music education in the local community.

Following Max Engle’s passing in 2023, our family witnessed an outpouring of love & support from this community.  We wanted to create a space where others could feel that same connection, a space where music becomes medicine, and memories fuel us. ​With a lineup rooted in folk, Americana, outlaw country, bluegrass, and blues — some of Max’s favorite sounds — The Sound That Stays is about storytelling, connection, and honoring what matters.​
